I know Garvin’s NWA title reign wasn’t great, but the Starrcade match he has with Flair is a real banger.
Yes, he was meant to be a great challenger but not the champion, and that was ok. He was one of the best challengers there ever was.
Honestly if modern wrestling was more like this, I'd watch every week.
I see 2 pro's that are giving the crowd a show. Some stiff shots, but great selling after the intense stare down shows that they are both staying in character. It looks like Japense hard style with some of the slaps and hits.
Well a Ronnie Garvin match makes you wonder that every time.🤣

Wild, I mean Garvin kind of always looks like this. Flair stepping up.
Garvin turned Flair into this emotional fighter in a way no one else really did.
Always blows my mind how many of these classics basically look like they filmed at an indie show
