My 17 year old just got money because her father passed away. They had a go fund me for funeral expenses, and she was given the remainder. She literally handed me a $100 bill, and I gave it right back. Like, l absolutely appreciated it, but I'm NOT taking your money. Plus, it came from her father passing. Same with birthday money though, I'm not taking your money for gifts or a sad event even if I'm struggling. That's yours. She actually ended up helping my mom pay a bill, and we are both actively paying her back for it. She has a big heart
