Absolutely not, there is no real democracy, The EU Commission is more like a private institution that has moved the power away from the EU citizens. It has created an illusion of a democracy by moving the citizen far away from insight and influence. The system is designed to maintain control within a closed circle, rather than one built on democratic accountability.

Fact that Ursula Is doing second term Is terrifying for every EU citizen

“It’s how it works” is not a reason to continue it.

She is elected by special interests and lobbies...thats not democracy.

Ursula von der Leyen's election is not a democratic process. At the very least it must be transparent, and it is not. This is just one of countless examples of lame democracy. Thank you Fidias for bringing these things to the attention of many. 🙏

"War die Wahl von Ursula von der Leyen demokratisch?" fragt der EU-Abgeordnete Fidias.

You’re correct, its is absolutely not democratic - it’s far from a democracy

“It’s how democracy works”, just shows how normal they think this is. Thank you 🙏🏽 for taking a step back and rethink this critically as it is not how democracy works. Ursula von der Leyen would never have been reelected if people would have had the choice to vote.

The EU, is not a representative democracy, the European Parliament and the European states are, and they ratify the Commissioners and the president. You only complain, actually don't know the system you work for and don't come with another solution, wtf is your agenda?
