With so many dangerous jobs out there that I see, most of them I can understand why people do them. The pay is good. Like with offshore oil rig jobs or deep sea commercial diving. The ones I don’t get are the jobs that are in horrendous conditions and are extremely dangerous and hazardous to the health but don’t pay well. Like this one that involves mining for black diamonds in a cave, with each blast of the explosives, they are hoping to strike it rich and find the hidden deposit of diamonds, on the other hand they risk breathing in harmful dust and debris and the cave could collapse at any moment without warning. Even in a desperate time for me I would never even consider a job like this. No kid is worth risking my life over, I would rather be a panhandler and dig through trash for a meal rather than be someone who would risk it all for a paycheck. I’ve been fortunate enough that I’ve had good opportunities where I would never have to do this even as a last repost. I respect the people who do have to do jobs like this by choice but I wish they wouldn’t. I rather they consider their options instead. Even though these are grown men who make their own decisions I would like to think there are safer opportunities than this but I’ve never lived this life so who am I to judge. It makes me just wonder what’s going through their minds when they agree to a job like this.
