In my view, he walks slowly, keeps leaning to one side, can hardly keep his eyes open, and his face looks swollen—his health condition seems worrying. So some say the news about doctors from Shanghai being summoned to Beijing’s 301 Hospital may not be false. It’s just that they were brought in to assess whether Xi’s health could withstand the risks of going to the Tibetan Plateau, not to resuscitate him.

The activists brought two additional banners which they had also planned to put up in the place of existing ones, but police arrived and confiscated them before the group could get those two up.

The proposed Kyirong–Kathmandu route has already seen 75 drilling sites completed and 90% of soil testing done. Across Tibet, at least 193 hydropower dams have been built or planned since 2000, with the real number potentially exceeding 300. The Lhasa–Nyingchi railway cuts through 47 tunnels and more than 120 bridges across some of the most fragile and geologically complex terrain on Earth. The CCP keeps pushing deeper into Tibet with little meaningful public scrutiny, while Tibetans have virtually no say over what happens to their land, mountains and rivers. This is not just about one flood. It is about the consequences of transforming an entire Himalayan ecosystem at unprecedented scale.
