Today their graves are being desecrated by Syrian forces backed by the new authorities — the very groups many call ISIS rebranded and normalized by the West. I’ve watched John Kennedy at least five times. While I hope his warning doesn’t fall on deaf ears, I’m even more concerned that it might be yet another empty promise—the kind the Kurds have sadly come to expect from American politicians. “Erdogan, leave the Kurds alone. Kurds as you know are wonderful people. There are probably 30-40 million [sic] …living mostly in Turkey, Iran, Northern Iraq & Syria. Kurds are a distinct ethnic group…a stateless country bc they are spread all over the world. The Kurds are America’s friend 🇺🇸 Not many years ago, ISIS established a caliphate in the Middle East, Which America destroyed. The people most responsible for destroying ISIS were the Kurds. We lost less than 20 American lives in destroying ISIS. Our friends the Kurds lost over 10,000 fighting alongside us, and over 30,000 wounded. Without the Kurds, ISIS would still be there. Erdogan doesn’t like the Kurds. Right now Erdogan has troops, tanks & weapons marshaled at border between Turkey & Syria. The Kurds live very peacefully in northeast Syria, so my message to Erdogan is: Don’t do it! Leave the Kurds alone! The Israeli Ambassador to the USA, Yachiel Leiter, told Reuters: "After I personally attended the entire trilateral meeting in Paris, Israel never supported the Syrian army's attack on the Syrian Kurds. Any claim that we did so is a lie." Someone is trying to prove that Israel betrayed the Kurds. The Kurds were betrayed by the USA. Trump. Their allies in the fight against ISIS. Not Israel. I wouldn't be surprised if these reports come from Qatar and Turkey. In the video, there are Kurdish fighters. The situation for the Kurds is terrible. One word - genocide. Real.

During the second half of April, Iran launched a series of attacks against Kurdish militias that were being armed by the US for a hypothetical ground operation into Iran. However, Trump’s recent statements regarding his relationship with the Kurds suggest a distancing from these militias, after admitting to having armed them prior to the protests in Iran at the start of the year. Washington has also announced that the Pentagon’s FY2027 budget almost completely eliminates direct funding for the Peshmerga (from $61 million in 2026 to $1.35 million), centralising aid in Baghdad rather than directly supporting Kurdish forces. This leaves Iraqi Kurds in a position of greater dependence on the Iraqi federal government and Iranian Kurds with no chance of extending their prospects of creating a nationalist project in Iran in the event of a hypothetical collapse.

He also claims that “we are older than the Kurds,” which is a lie. First, it is called the Kurdish language, and the Kurds have been mentioned for thousands of years, whereas the idea of a Yazidi nationality was established by the PKK in 2014 after what they call the “liberation.” No historical book has ever described the Yazidis as a nationality, and there was no one in the world a hundred years ago whose ethnicity was “Yazidi.” Second, the religion of the Kurds before Islam was Zoroastrianism, Yazdanism, or Christianity. There was no such thing as a religion called Yazidism at that time. Third, the Yazidi religion is originally a religion that deviated from Islam. They are followers of Adi ibn Musafir, the Arab Sunni Umayyad, who was praised by Ibn Taymiyyah. The tomb of Adi (Sheikh Adi) is located in Lalish today, and the Yazidis worship it. A major example: The central regimes of Iran tried to create a fake Persian identity for Luri Kurds for decades but failed. After that, they tried to claim that Lurs are a completely different ethnic group with no connection to Kurdistan (where did they come from? Mars or Pluto?). That policy also failed. Kurdish nationalism is on the rise on every inch of our homeland.
