Wasn’t expecting that Google Rambler comes with usage limits. When they end, it switches to offline mode, basically the voice typing feature already available on older Pixel devices. Its smart dictation provides better cloud-based transcription and reverts to normal voice typing at the limit or when offline.

The keyboard on iOS is the worst I have ever used in comparison to what’s available on Android. When AI voice dictation came out, it quickly became my primary input interface on both desktop and mobile. Though, on mobile it was quite limited to specific apps, cuz in many cases it is not that good or completely missing. Around a month ago, it finally changed when I had a chance to beta test Typeless keyboard for iOS. There, it can be synced between mobile and desktop apps, so I would have access to all my configurations as well as to the dictation history. It comes with a seamless way to switch between typing and dictation and a wave animation (quite an important part), so you can see if it is actually recording what you say. Typeless enables vibe coding in tools like Claude Code or AI Studio from mobile. A custom dictionary saves loads of time cuz you don’t have to correct all your abbreviations that other voice dictation solutions misspell. You can easily access dictated text on your other devices, and it also saves your dictated text from being accidentally lost (a common issue with the dictation feature on other apps). CNVS is a mac os app built from the ground up in swift for raw performance on apple hardware. agents have bidirectional control, they can spawn and prompt each other, terminals, and browsers. Create loops and even draw diagrams straight on the canvas. nothing comes close, and im just getting started.

here is the first look at realtime voice mode in codex the ui is already in the app, but the codex backend endpoint does not seem to be live yet i got it running by forcing the local feature gate and using my own openai api key, so it goes through the public realtime api instead it's incredible, but this demo alone cost me ~$4 gpt realtime 2 is very expensive, which makes me wonder how they're going to handle it - part of the normal usage limit, or a separate limit like we had with gpt 5.3 codex spark? i'm turning it off until the official rollout but get excited, the next few weeks are going to be amazing

I got a smart meter recently and saw you can download a HDF file with the data so I had the idea of writing a script that could parse that and show the data in a useful manner. However I discovered that someone has already done this and done a really good job on it. The video explains how it works. In simple terms it uses the ESB smart meter data and shows a breakdown of how much data you are using and when and also recommends plans and estimates what each one would cost based on the data. The tool is available at easier to read on Laptop or Tablet or then your phone to Landscape.
