Lol. The most dangerous period is when AI is in its infancy. It's when AI cannot help you with "how to fix society," but can help the government with "who dares to raise their voice against our wise rule." The period before "wow, this car drives itself safely all the time" is the period of "this cheap drone is good enough to eradicate those fascists." We better get quickly to a period when AI will be good enough to raise humanity's sanity level. But, there is not much infrastructure to make large-scale changes to the world instantaneously.
