NEW: Florida man strikes again by using fake police lights to try pulling over an undercover sheriff’s deputy Nadi Jabari, driving a black Chevrolet Suburban, activated red and blue emergency lights in an attempt to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle he targeted was an unmarked car driven by an undercover Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputy. Deputies quickly realized what was happening and pulled the man over instead. A search of his vehicle turned up an illegal police light setup, an extra emergency light bar, and a firearm. Jabari was arrested and charged with false personation of a law enforcement officer, unlawful use of a blue light, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

NEW: Two women arrested after a police officer suffered a brutal head injury while trying to stop one of the women from fleeing the scene. The police officer was sent to the hospital for a head injury and remains in serious condition. 28-year-old Jamaysha Butler could be seen trying to flee the scene when the Beaumont, Texas officer tried stopping her. Police were initially called to the location due to an early morning disturbance involving a group of people. The officer fell off the side of the car and banged his head on the pavement. When the officer handcuffed 22-year-old Melissa Bell, Butler, who was also going to be arrested, bolted for the car. The officer tried stopping her but sadly fell from the car. Butler was charged with intoxication, assault, and evading detention. Bell is facing charges including public intoxication, resisting arrest, interference with public duties, and assault on a peace officer. The officer is in stable but serious condition.

The incident, involved 24-year-old delivery driver, Jahil Rust, started when she allegedly refused to confirm an Uber Eats delivery, leading to an argument with a customer. By the time local police arrived at the complex, Rust was on the phone refusing to fully interact with the officer and eventually fleeing the scene on her bicycle. Officers tracked her down near the intersection of 9th Street and Flanagan Way, but the situation quickly intensified when she refused to comply with lawful orders to stop. Attempting to elude the police after trying to hit one of them, Rust fled into a nearby TD Bank at 1262 Paterson Plank Road, pushing past staff and running behind the teller counter. As officers moved to take her into custody inside the bank, the encounter became chaotic. As can be seen in the body cam footage, Rust physically resisted and launched attacks on an officer, striking him in with multiple objects. The St Andrew North Police have formally charged a man in connection with a viral video depicting the assault of a Nurse Practitioner on Tuesday, May 13. The charges were laid on Saturday, May 17. The accused is 65-year-old businessman Robert Bell of a St. Andrew address. He was charged with: • Assault occasioning actual bodily harm • Assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm • Assault at common law • Possessing a firearm with intent to commit a first schedule offence • Possession of a firearm with intent to cause injuries Reports are that at about 7:15 p.m., the Nurse Practitioner was on her way to work when her vehicle was impeded by a vehicle driven by Mr. Bell. A dispute ensued between the two individuals, during which the woman was physically assaulted multiple times. The following day, Wednesday, May 14, Bell was apprehended by the police. He was subsequently charged after a question-and-answer interview in the presence of his Attorney. His licensed firearm was also seized by the police. His court date is being finalised.
