The move activates the state’s emergency operations plan and makes additional resources available to respond to the outbreak. The mass culling — or “depopulation,” as the state described it — is the second-largest in a commercial flock since bird flu was first detected in Colorado in early 2002.

This CNN panel cannot come to grips with reality. They are all saying that egg prices are up under Donald Trump, but only if you use year-over-year data. To be clear, Scott Jennings rightfully pointed out that Trump has kept true to his promise to bring egg prices down. They have fallen by 23.78% since his inauguration as of June. This panel focused on pricing under Biden and prior to the avian flu outbreak, which resulted in the loss of over 40 million laying hens. The price of eggs has decreased by 25.72% since reaching a peak of $6.22. Donald Trump promised lower egg prices, and he has delivered on this promise so far.
