He's right. Frisco or at least parts of it was taken over by Denton county. In 2017 I built a house in Frisco and when I first moved in it was Collin county, but the next year we were switched to Denton. If they never filed for a change of venue the whole trial was bogus.

Frisco HS is in Denton County, but the school district crosses both counties’ lines. There may be a legal loophole there re: why Collin County was the venue. Regardless, the kid committed legit murder. If the ruling wouldn’t be materially different elsewhere, likely no retrial.
