David Krause, 35, called his girlfriend to say he was getting a ride from “some kids” after the 414 Day celebration, asking them for a lift during heavy storms. Moments later, he was shot dead in an alley. A 14-year-old, a 15-year-old, and another teen are now being charged with murder and attempted armed robbery. The teens fled in a stolen car, which was later set on fire. Two of them have a history of car theft, including one with 12 related offenses.

Teens aged 16, 17, and 18 are in custody in connection with a series of ATM robberies throughout Chicago neighborhoods. Police say a stolen car was used in all 3 incidents. A search warrant also uncovered several guns, cash, and burglary tools. A 16-year-old and a 17-year-old have been charged with three felony counts of burglary and one felony count of criminal trespass to a vehicle in connection with the robberies. Recovered items were found at the home of 18-year-old Avian Moore, who is now charged with several counts of unlawful use of a weapon.
