Breaking: OLANREWAJU FADEHAN, the current Head of Examinations at the WAEC office in Awka, Anambra State, has openly acknowledged and confessed the many issues surrounding the 2026 WAEC examinations, including some of the factors that led to mass failures among students who legitimately sat for the exams. We will get to the root of this. Our students, who have worked hard for years, deserve justice, and we will ensure they get it. It is a big shame that WAEC has allowed these failures to put the futures of our children at risk.

I just conducted an unannounced oversight visit at the ICE Florence Staging Facility. This facility is only supposed to hold people for 72 hours, but my office has received reports of people being detained here for weeks at a time. Canada’s National Security clearance system is in question following the arrest of an alleged spy at NATO’s HQ in Belgium. This is why my Conservative colleagues and I put forward a motion today requesting that the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security investigate Canada’s security screening process. As a result of our motion, the committee will hold meetings upon the resumption of Parliament, and we will hear from the Minister of Public Safety and other potential witnesses.
