Actually, his response to Maher is terrible. First of all, @davidhogg111 used the word “awful” to describe October 7 and “unacceptable” to describe the far more deadly violence Israel has inflicted on Gaza since Oct 7. Second, when Maher asks Hogg how Gazans were treated before October 7, he avoids this key question. He should have said that, before October 7, Israel had turned Gaza into an open/air concentration camp that it repeatedly bombed mercilessly, and that it had subjected all Palestinians in Palestine to a system of apartheid. Third, polls show that a majority of Palestinians support Sinwar. How is this big-shot academic unaware of those polls? Palestinians don’t need spokespersons like this clown. They need people who know the truth and who have the courage to speak it.
