The Congress party’s Communications In charge had claimed that Smt. Sonia Gandhi did not attempt to stop the singing of Vande Mataram and was only asking for a chair to be kept for Mr. Kharge, during the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Congress office. But it can be very clearly seen from multiple video clips in the media that an agitated Sonia Gandhi is frantically gesturing and instructing to stop the rendition of original Vande Mataram.
