We will engage with anyone who believes they cannot be engaged, because our message must be heard. We are not here to protect illegal foreigners; we are here to confront the health hazards and looming pandemic that threaten us all. Diseases know no nationality. Our commitment is to engage with patience and persistence until this truth is understood and accepted. We need to have a conversation, bring all relevant authorities together, and address the possibility of removing it as a health care facility.

This is about delivering better services for those struggling with homelessness and addiction and better results for all San Franciscans. Through this process, we will be in close conversation with the community and providers who do this important work.
