They would have changed lanes much sooner, but they were waiting to clear the intersection because it's illegal to change lanes in an intersection. No laws were broken. Everyone was aware the entire time. The car had their signal on and the car recording left space.

He's driving in the bus lane. Or HOV lane. That's why they stopped them.

No. I think they passed just fine. But it was pretty close. Was he speeding ? In the bus lane ? Switched lanes in an intersection? Maybe that’s the ticket. 🤔

Unless he's a solo person in the hov lane then no. He signaled both times, merged when he had space to do so and waited till they were fully through the intersection before switching.

Looks like an HOV lane, maybe the car wasn’t even allowed in that lane at all. Maybe was a single driver. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I’m not sure the HOV rules in the east.

You're assuming they were pulled over for the lane change and not for driving in the HOV lane without enough passengers, or for any other offence. Hell, maybe they were even listed as "wanted" or a suspended driver.
