Steven Spielbergs first Movie. The second was JAWS.

Good movie but the unnecessary and probably studio mandated "inner monologues" sour it for me. Imagine the diner scene with just darting eyes and silence it would play much better.

Duel's truck chase is iconic, but the lack of character depth limits rewatch value. Do you prefer it over Spielberg's later work?
