Having a causal man hunt and possible lynching on your class calendar would be such a trip.

Gangs in Gulu are the deadliest I have experienced 😡

@PoliceUg something need to be done to curb criminality in Gulu and other towns

I hear this is happening in most Upcountry towns. Was reading Soroti, Oyam...sometime back. Many claim it's young boys. How is it not possible to deal with them decisively before it completely gets out of hand?

Act of violence against students must stop and all security agencies should take security of students as matters of national importance requiring immediate response. We need a secure learning environment for our students, not fear instilled by insecurity.

Gulu is a beautiful city but very insecure. The bad boys are everywhere in the city and its outskirts @GifterAber ,@PaLabeja . Kindly try out some strategies to make our city good for everyone during this your term. Apwoyo 🙏🙏

But the solution is to identify those gangs and eliminate them. Uganda a peaceful country whoever disturbs that peace has to be dealt with.

Who is paying this guys

Those agu boys man

Instead of warning students they should just work with authorities to make campus premises safe for students by arresting those thugs that threaten there safety

We used to call those gang #Agooze, I remember I was also attacked in kyikudile mkt wen I was from discussion, so gulu police take that Matter serious, mostly in areas of walbongo and chikudile

@opuklee

@Acholi_godddd ain't the criminal gangs the very gangs that you shared a video of them welcoming Lt Gen (Rtd) in Gulu a while back? Criminal gangs are conduits of security folks especially the police and local politicians

In areas that have gangs, incase of any violence, i wish the DPC and OC would be indicted such that much effort is made by them to curb the same.

UPDF will handle them soon U wait and see

If the students can't be allowed to move at night, why allow boda boda to operate at night? This is a matter beyond the university administration. Blaming the victims won't save the situation.

@PoliceUg you continue to fail us Shoot to kill these gangs Stop the drugs' cartels

Gulu university is still an open space. You people need to fence your arear. We used to have the same problem in Makerere so many years ago in 2015

The university should work with police to provide security.

"Students are more dangerous than boda bodas." Omera, why are you inciting violence? 😂

Good management

why not have the army ready to shoot the gang members instead of civilians limiting their movements

For Gulu is worse, every semester they hit a student to near death or death... Same community members doing this.. Why ask for a university when you can't protect the lives of the people you are asking for... The gang issue in Gulu can be solved... As students try their best..

The war in Northern Uganda might have ended but peace is far from being attained. Peacebuilding is the only hope for the region

@GuluVarsity start by ensuring the major roads around Uni and hostels are better lite…. The road behind faculty of Agriculture towards Medicine, students move there in the dark and it’s only the recent construction keeping it safe, the well face should be well lite

Where is police?, people must move

Can't the General step in and clean the city? Start by firing the DPC and OCs

Never expected this in Akandwanaho's city.

Gangs r every where and we must all be very vigilant

The gang members are the secondary School kids. That's why these cases rise more during School holidays!

@TheGuluMarathon I witnessed similar incidents last year in Gulu City. Gangs roaming in broad daylight. Stealing from pedestrians & open shops. Shall we be safe attending this year?

I was in Gulu in July but what I saw there, ehhhh. Young boys beating and raping people. So bad
