Mikhaila Peterson says she went through “two years of pure hell” when she decided to stop taking SSRIs. She didn’t need the drugs anymore. Her paleo/keto diet had put her depression into remission. The first few days off the medication, she felt “on top of the world.” But once week two hit, her life “turned upside down.” For years, she blamed her “intolerable symptoms” on what she ate. Seeing a tiny, senior dog like Dolly left to fend for herself on the streets is absolutely heartbreaking. When we first found her, she was in a terrible state and had lost almost all of her hair. You really have to wonder how dogs like her manage to survive out there alone.
