Yes! There is absolutely enthusiasm for Alberta to explore Statehood. It is possible to do without the approval of the premier, but it sure would be nice if she shared our dream of freer pastures. There's an opportunity for a very charismatic, polished leader for this movement

Jeff is right. Smith seems disconnected. I, for one, would gladly and gratefully accept statehood from the US and would consider it an honour to become American and to be able to give my children more liberties and opportunities to work and prosper in that great nation.
