The DA’s office also released surveillance footage of the altercation, seen below. The video appears to show Brown walking with a bag in hand toward the store’s exit when Anthony confronts him. Anthony begins punching Brown and wrestling with him as well as putting him in a headlock. (2/6)

The two break free, and Brown picks up the bag before exiting the store and turning back to Anthony. Anthony alleges Brown spit on him and threatened to stab him. Video shows the security guard opening fire and Brown falling to the ground. (3/6)

Brown was later found to be unarmed. Anthony was booked on suspicion of murder the day after the shooting but was later released. Jenkins noted that “the suspect believed he was in mortal danger and acted in self-defense.” (4/6)

Because there is no audio in the surveillance footage, witness accounts may be key to understanding Anthony’s state of mind when he fired at Brown. (5/6)

While no witnesses said they heard Brown threaten to stab Anthony, Jenkins said, none of their statements contradicted what he told police. (6/6)

@BrookeJenkinsSF followed the law to the letter.

>Anthony alleges Brown spit on him and threatened to stab him. I mean there you go. Looks pretty justified to me

See what happens, all these cascade of events because we don’t prosecute shoplifting. See @LondonBreed? If the city was known to not let this happen, much less of it would happen. Security guards wouldn’t need to worry about this. Ppl would survive. Wokeism is death.

Free this hero and give him a medal

Anthony answered how he could be afraid of being stabbed by Banko.
