The whole world is looking at cooperation between India and China. The developing countries, or what we call global sub-countries, are demanding an equal world order that will answer the interests and demands of developing countries. The people of all Global South countries share a common concern that the interests of their people are not being amplified on the world stage. So, through regional corporations like BRICS, where we meet, developing countries are raising their concerns and working together to enhance cooperation. China really supports the development of the Global South. And President Xi has made it clear that China will always be a member of the Global South."

Sweden and the World Bank Group are celebrating 75 years of partnership this year. The World Bank is the single largest channel for Swedish development assistance and a key partner in poverty reduction, economic reforms and good governance in developing countries. Sweden’s overall support to Ukraine via the World Bank will total SEK 2.8 billion in 2026. Yesterday, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa received World Bank Managing Director of Operations Anna Bjerde in Stockholm for discussions on continued strong cooperation.
