For those of you asking why I'm covering Dr. Anthony Fauci's fall from grace, remember this: what goes around comes around. Dr. Anthony Fauci ruined my life in 2010. After my illness was used by anti-vaxxers to discourage people from getting vaccines, Dr. Fauci and his media buddies at Inside Edition, PBS, and others, spun my illness to blame, vilify, and smear me while I struggled in silence with a debilitating neurological disease, stiff person syndrome. The irony is that under Dr. Fauci's leadership he funded dangerous gain of function research creating deadly viruses that could be used as bioweapons, yet much of the media continues to defend him. You can't spend years crucifying me while refusing to apply the same level of scrutiny to one of the most powerful public health officials in America that impacted the lives of billions of people around the world.
