But as you can see below, scientists (the Cambridge professor is a leading researcher on glaciers in the specific region) DO NOT yet know if climate change caused the collapse of this glacier. Scientists DO KNOW there was a rocky landslide beneath the glacier which may have been the reason for the glacier to be pulled and break. And what caused this rocky layer underneath to landslide? It could be anything from natural causes to manmade construction / blasting activity. We really can't say exactly yet. This climate change theory has been thrown around by all GLISCO media networks immediately since the collapse. Soon the climate change in Nepal will be blamed solely on India by propaganda and psyops too. And Indian projects in the Himalayas, especially tunneling and border road construction to counter China, halted using environmental groups and protests. While China will silently continue to build on its side. Tl;Dr The fact is nobody knows for sure if climate change caused this particular glacier to break and collapse, they do know there was a rocky landslide underneath the glacier. A NEW START FOR NEPAL. Huge congratulations to the new Nepal PM Balen – a man who has spent his career fighting corruption – first as Kathmandu Mayor and now as PM. Nepal recently had a hugely important election, one that the youth of Nepal fought for. They made their voices heard - they want an end to corruption and a better Nepal for the future. They are brave and inspiring. The hopes of a nation now rest on this new chapter in Nepal’s history. There is a lot to do, but I know it can be done and positive changes can happen. The corruption has to end. Nepal and her people deserve better. Whether that’s fake news, business or Governmental corruption – it has to stop. As I report from Dhunge Bazaar in Nuwakot district, I can barely keep my balance in a landscape buried under wet mud, rock and sludge after the devastating NEPAL FLOODS. Nepal contributes just 0.1% of global greenhouse gas emissions, yet its communities are facing the brutal consequences of a warming and increasingly volatile climate. Nearly 46% of Nepal is covered by forests, while more than 70% of four-wheelers imported in 2025–26 were ELECTRIC VEHICLES. So to stop those investigations, they formed this coalition. And then they arrested one of the very popular leaders of one of the other parties, who has incidentally been released from jail today by the protesters. I think there was this sense that nothing was happening within the existing institutions in Nepal, and these youngsters have taken the law into their own hands..."
