#WATCH | Murshidabad, West Bengal: On TMC goes to Supreme Court over EC's counting supervisor move, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury says, "Anyone can go to the Supreme Court, but it does not behove the ruling party TMC in Bengal to talk about religion from their mouths. In Bengal, from panchayat elections to municipal elections and others, people are not even allowed to file nominations. The police and TMC goons work together to block the paths for opposition members to participate in elections. If someone wins, they are not even given a certificate... This time, I saw that ordinary people were able to vote in the presence of central forces during the elections, they were able to participate in the elections without fear. That does not mean that I support the BJP or the Election Commission... SIR is a different issue, but people voted without fear in the elections because of the presence and proactiveness of the central forces."

#WATCH | Kolkata, West Bengal: On TMC's Victory in West Bengal Bar Council Elections, Advocate Arka Kumar Nag says, "Gyanesh Kumar was not there managing the bar council of West Bengal elections as the central forces was not a part of the West Bengal bar council election as the election took place under the surveillance of the Supreme Court of India with the senior advocates looking after it and all of them mostly are honest and as you know honest people has no relation with BJP that's why it is very obvious that the General masses of West Bengal will vote against the BJP as they have voted in the Bar Council of West Bengal. If the Election Commission of India and the Central Forces are removed from the West Bengal Assembly elections factor, the results of the West Bengal Assembly elections would be absolutely upside down... The victory in the West Bengal Bar Council election is a clear indication that the people of West Bengal are thinking aloud and thinking wisely. But there will be people who are elected from the TMC ticket in the Bar Council election coming up and say that they cannot work here... TMC will come down to show that BJP has won, and that is obvious... I'm sure it will be less of propaganda and more of actual scenarios."

Everyone should attend the counting session and accept the one chosen by the people… Everyone should maintain peace by overcoming the differences that one had during the elections, as that affects the general public more than us… All the candidates should cooperate with the Election Commission, the Security Force and the Bengal Police.”

In a disturbing escalation of political violence in West Bengal, the TMC launched a violent attack at the BJP District Party Office in Cooch Behar. The Assembly Elections are probably 11 months away but TMC have unleashed their attack dogs on the principal opposition party; BJP. This shows that they are losing ground and that's why they are resorting to violence so early. The Party Office is located in the Cooch Behar town and the incident unfolded in the presence of Mamata Police. TMC Goons along with Jihadists who are under the patronage of Mamata Police executed the attack. Several of our Karyakartas got injured badly. Recently, BJP MLA from Cooch Behar South Assembly Constituency; Shri Nikhil Ranjan Dey was attacked by TMC Goons while he was going towards Dinhata Court. Today's incident has reignited concerns over the deteriorating law-and-order situation in the district and all over the state as well. The attack is a deliberate attempt to intimidate BJP workers and a blueprint of the TMC's desperation to cling on to power through violence and thuggery. We won't be intimidated, rather we would seek motivation from this and will combat the TMC goons with courage. Amit Shah Sunil Bansal BJP BJP West Bengal

#WATCH | Delhi: On West Bengal Assembly Election results, CPIM leader Brinda Karat says, "Our party will conduct a thorough review. There was a strong anti-incumbency feeling among the people of Bengal against Mamata Banerjee and the TMC. No one can deny this. There was definitely an anti-incumbency feeling against the TMC, which was reflected in the vote. Secondly, there's no doubt that the BJP and RSS have completely misused the central government, central agencies, and especially the Election Commission of India. Before the elections, they removed 2.7 million voters from the voter list, who had documents. So, this is a completely misuse-based advantage taken by the BJP..."
