I urge the people not to hoard fuel, as it can lead to accidents and other safety risks. There is an adequate supply available, and there is no need for panic. I request everyone to cooperate and support the smooth distribution of fuel. Citizens are also advised to refrain from spreading misinformation. Unfortunately, some opposition leaders are contributing to unnecessary panic through irresponsible rhetoric.

Lieutenant General Tebello Mosikili says the estimated R600 million is not allocated solely for the 30 June anti-illegal immigration demonstrations or a single day of operations, but forms part of SAPS’s broader operational planning. She explained that it covers the nationwide deployment of frontline officers, including costs such as fuel, equipment, overtime, and other logistical requirements, as well as contingency funds for unforeseen operational needs in maintaining public order.
