Listen carefully to what Jamieson Greer, the US Trade Representative, is saying about the US-India trade deal. He openly calls it a “big win for American farmers and exporters" Here are the details he shared👇 👉 India will apply 0% tariff on many American goods, including agricultural products like dry fruits, fruits, vegetables, alcohol and spirits 👉India will cut tariffs on industrial goods to ZERO, down from the current 13.5% 👉 India will reduce tariffs on several other manufactured goods, chemicals, and medical equipment 👉 India will buy oil, gas, and propane from the United States. Now the real questions👇 ❓Why has the Modi government not shared a single clear detail of this deal with Indians? ❓Why is the government hiding the truth? ❓If this deal is so beneficial, why the secrecy? ❓Why have the interests of Indian farmers and Indian industry been put at risk? 👉This may be a great deal, but it is a great deal for America, not for India. 👎

0% tariff on Bangladeshi textile 18% tariff on Indian textile??? Rahul Gandhi's tutors are stupid. They give him wrong information and make him national joke The 0% tariff on Bangladeshi textile will be applicable only if Bangladesh buys 20% raw material from USA, otherwise it will be 19% (1% more than India) And this 20% rule is applicable for all countries. It means even if India buy 20% raw material from USA, India's tariff will also go down to zero 😀 So actually in every case this is more beneficial for India than Bangladesh Rahul Gandhi you are forever Pappu

Just as Bangladesh has a facility that if raw material is purchased from America, then if you process it and make cloth and export it, then it will be available at zero reciprocal tariff. India also has the same facility and India will also get it. Right now, our framework agreement is being made. THIS is what tariffs are all about ‼️ Putting America First American cattle rancher, “Welcomes the 25% tariffs on Canadian and Mexican beef and cattle, and we want more — For decades now we've argued that free trade, meaning when tariffs are reduced to zero, was harming American farmers and ranchers, particularly cattle and sheep farmers and ranchers” “Since zero tariffs for cattle and beef went into effect between the US, Canada and Mexico in 1994, the US has lost about 285,000 beef cattle farmers and ranches. Our national cattle herd is shrunk by about 6.5 million mother cows, and we've eliminated over 87,000 farmer feeders from our domestic supply chain's marketing outlets. What zero tariffs did was allow global importers to displace domestic farmers and ranchers, domestic cattle and domestic cattle feeding opportunities with cheaper imports” “Our logical arguments against free trade included that many foreign countries had lower wages, lower production standards, relaxed environmental standards, and weaker currencies. We argued that each of these advantages gave foreign countries an inherent pricing advantage over domestic producers” This video is FULL of great info and facts and statistics about how not having tariffs have destroyed every aspect of our livestock farming industry

#WATCH | Delhi: On being asked how confident Moscow is about the India-Russia energy cooperation, Russian Ambassador to India, Denis Alipov, says, "The question is - how confident is India? India has shown that it's able to stand its ground and defend its national interests. And when we speak about the sanctions pertaining to oil trade, the tariffs are also related to the cooperation between Russia and India in oil supplies. These interests are paramount for India. We would be ready to supply as much oil as India needs. Unfortunately, those who impose sanctions and tariffs have taken the path of pressure tactics instead of honest cooperation, which prevents those countries from offering a better deal to India in oil than us. The world will not cope if Russian oil is excluded. The energy markets cannot afford that. Russian oil will stay in the market for India and other countries. We are interested in supplying oil to India. India is interested in buying that oil..."

#WATCH | Mumbai: On India-US Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA), Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal says, "As I've often mentioned to you, we have closed the negotiations on the India-US free trade agreement. It'll be first tranche of a bilateral trade agreement, which will reflect an initial set of proposals that have been agreed upon by the two countries. We have to fine-tune a little bit, which process is going on. The critical aspect is that any trade agreement has to provide preferential access in order for it to be attractive. Given the uncertainties on tariffs in the United States, we are waiting for the US to provide the necessary framework under which India will get a preferential tariff for our exports to the US. It should be lower than all our competitor countries...We are in agreement on this issue and are in continuous dialogue. I had a conversation with my counterpart very recently, and we are both committed to concluding a very fair, equitable, and balanced first tranche of the US-India bilateral trade agreement. We never negotiate with a deadline until we get the best deal for our farmers, fishermen, MSMEs, startups, women entrepreneurs, for our youth..."

Celebration without clarity? The BJP’s leadership is hard to understand. At the NDA parliamentary meeting, MP's raised “Jai Modi” slogans while the country still has no clear explanation on the India–US trade deal. Trump tweeted details the same day the deal was announced. From India’s side, there was silence on agriculture, tariffs, imports, and the $500 billion trade figure. India’s total imports are about $700 billion. We import $45 billion from the US and export $70 billion. How does a $500 billion deal with one country add up? Trump has said India’s agricultural market will open, despite 36% tariffs meant to protect farmers. Tariffs of 25–18% on other products are being discussed as zero. After today’s press conference, the Agriculture Minister claimed that India’s agricultural market remains protected. But the official press statement does not explicitly state that the 30–36% tariffs will continue. Key questions about the $500 billion figure and its feasibility remain unanswered. If clarity will come later through “due process,” why celebrate now? This is not politics. This is constructive criticism.

It’s absolutely incredible that Trump is bragging that his tax cuts for the wealthy made it possible for his friend to buy a private plane, while the rest of us struggle with higher bills because of his tariffs, unnecessary wars, and reckless policies.

There's two aspects to these tariffs. Number one is reciprocality against tariffs from one country to another based on products and services that are specific. So if you're charging a 20% tariff in India, it's going to be reciprocated in the United States, and those go away pretty quickly. That actually leads to fair trade. The more complex aspect of these negotiations are around the idea of trade imbalances. When you put on tariffs to try and fix trade imbalance it's difficult because the largest economy on Earth is the United States. So really you're starting a behemoth negotiation, and it's happening in every country. You can assume that behind the scenes are two spheres of negotiations. One is let's try and reduce the imbalance of trade by buying more stuff from the United States. That's one signal. And the other, which is very easy to fix, is simply remove all tariffs. If you're going to have reciprocal tariffs at 20%, 30%, 40%, just get rid of them, bring them down to zero.
