First, we are capable of producing at least 2,000 effective and combat-proven interceptors every day. We can produce more – it depends on investment. We need about 1,000 interceptors a day, and we can supply at least another 1,000 a day to our allies. Second, we know how to build radar and acoustic coverage to respond to how “shaheds” and other drones approach. Third, we have software that allows radars to keep working even under electronic warfare jamming. In real time, we analyze enemy frequencies and respond to them. And because of this system, we understand how effective our defense is against almost every attack drone, and we can move our positions and air defense to get better results. This iPad gives full control of the situation because we have a system for using our defense tools. If a “shahed” needs to be stopped in the Emirates – we can do it. If it needs to be stopped in Europe or the United Kingdom – we can do it. It is a matter of technology, investment, and cooperation. Prior to this, I owned a small car from the same company. Today, our country needs electric vehicles; it needs carpooling, and it needs people to commute by metro. Furthermore—should the need arise—we should refrain from using diesel and petrol vehicles for at least one day a week, and instead of using PNG or LPG, we should start cooking on induction cooktops. It's fifth generation technology — I think it's the best in the world as of now. But back then, our Indian friends said: "Go ahead on your own, and then we will see — maybe we'll join." When the British came to India, we were at 33% of the world's GDP. When the British left in 1947, we were at 2% of the world's GDP. Some of this was taken from us, but mostly it was because they developed new technologies. We forgot to create new technologies. We forgot to adopt new technologies. And since 1947, we have been trying to organise ourselves as a new country, as a young country. Around 1991, we started liberalisation. And now we are at around 4% of the world's GDP. Going from 2% to 4% is actually a 100% increase. But this is still very low... Countries with a young population are good at adopting new patterns. Where are those countries? If you look at Japan, it has become old. If you look at China, it has suddenly become old... India, we will remain young until 2050-2060. We have two young countries in neigbourhood, Pakistan and Bangladesh, but they are not technology adopters. They want to live the life they did 1600 years ago. Then go to Africa, they are fighting among themselves. Go to Europe, it has become old. Go to America, there will be fewer people in 2026 than in 2025...Now we are technology adopters. #WATCH | India AI Impact Summit 2026 | Delhi: Founder Chairman and CEO of Sampark Foundation & former CEO of HCL Technologies, Vineet Nayar says, "...From an employment point of view I think it is very important for us to understand that Indian companies, including Indian IT companies, are going to be profit-driven and therefore if you believe that they are going to create employment you must be dreaming. Therefore, the question is how do we create employment in this environment, and that employment comes from mass scale startups, which is what this government has already doing. So, how do we create new sets of people who are trying to solve new sets of problems not new sets of technology and if we do that we will get it right. I think we as Indians have to be very careful on who does data belong to and that is the debate we have a problem with. The LLM models which exist worldwide are far superior than the Indian models. Unfortunately, in India, we never develop products, so therefore we do not have SLMs and LLMs which are world-class. On one side, we have global LLM products which are coming to India and trading on our Indian data. Should we allowed that or should we not allowed that? But on the other side if we don't allow that then we have the data but we don't have the LLM models. So, how do we encourage technology completely to develop the LLM models. This needs radicals strategic thinking and a very important aspect otherwise we will either give up a data. So, I think it's a very critical aspect for us to think about - who does this data belong, what is the kind of incentives we are going to give to develop LLM technologies or SLM technologies fast so that we train on our data otherwise an LLM will come in with our data and we'll immediately see return and we'll celebrate and we will do all these kind of press releases but the India will lose a competitive advantage on something which is very critical for the next decade."
