If more of the factories are owned by China then China will win. Right now all the chip fabs are in Taiwan. 100%. If China invades Taiwan in the near term the world will be cut off from advanced AI chips. I think it's essential for national security that we begin manufacturing our own chips in the US."

ELON MUSK: AI’s next major bottleneck will be electricity. “A few years ago, I made a very obvious prediction, which is that the limitation on AI will be chips, and it's still chips kind of chips today, then it will be electrical equipment, because you need to take power at that might be at 300,000 volts, all the way down to 400 volts for the computer. So you need to step down transformers and a lot of them and a lot of cabling and wiring and fuses. And it's a lot of transformers, essentially, and the electrical transformer industry is not used to big changes in demand. And then as we solve the transformer shortage, there will be the fundamental electricity generation shortage. We're getting there soon.”

CES Report #2: Asygn claims it has the best computer vision chips for glasses. Uses very little power. I include this because these chips are going to run the vision workloads in glasses of the future. They will demonstrate how glasses can recognize everything in the world in a very privacy-protecting way (data doesn’t leave the chip), while using very little power. I have long heard Meta and Apple are doing similar chips for their devices. Really matters in products coming in 2027 or later.

Chips are being embedded into your clothing labels The chips are mainly RFID, Radio Frequency Identification, chips being embedded into the labels If you look closely or hold the labels up to light you can clearly see the chip, not all labels have them but many retailers are using them RFID chips are used in many huge retailers in America for - Inventory tracking - Self-checkout, you place items in a bin and the system reads all tags automatically - Anti-theft and security They contain a microchip and antenna but are not “tracking microchips” however I’d still recommend removing them They’ve been out for years but are being used by more and more major retailers so people are staying to notice

No wonder Jensen got so defensive over $NVDA GPUs against custom chips. $GOOG will start using different custom chips for inference and training. $AMZN has already adopted this approach as they have Trainium for training and Inferentia for inference. Hyperscalers obviously see better price/performance in this approach, and this is where the industry is headed. $AVGO and $MRVL are poised to be big winners, while $NVDA dominance will be under increasing pressure.
