They have an impact on companies, in corporate, in the public sector, in the government and in start-ups... Our alumni have also created employment... In academia, our alumni have been leaders in research. Many of them have been serving as directors of IITs, IIMs, and NITs... For the first time, we have assessed the impact of alumni contributions to India and globally and started a report... The attached video is an interesting clip from a news article just before the referendum vote. Make no mistake, the black population was ready for a fight and if the vote was NO, that we would have had a full on civil war on our hands. The question that I have to ask myself, after seeing with my own eyes many, many times how the mobs scatter after the first bullet flies, is how they would have stood up to the Armed Forces of the Republic. Should it have resulted in an outright war and the gloves were completely off, my personal feelings are that the numerical advantages of the enemy would have been neutralised by artillery and airstrikes into the townships. Not that I would have ever hoped for this, but this is the reality of war. With water, power and supplies cut off and disease spreading, I do not think that the 'majority' could have held out forever. Wouter Basson could have been properly unleashed and entire townships wiped out with poisoned water supplies and other nefarious means. Let's not even talk about our nuclear weapons, which would have most certainly drawn other nuclear powers into the war, some with us and some against us. Nukes aside, we would have had our work cut out for us with communist reinforcements arriving from neighbouring countries. SWAPO were formidable opponents and with them now well equipped, we could have faced some indiscriminate artillery shelling of our own cities and population areas. The Mozambicans were battle hardened by that stage and also a formidable enemy. As always, we would have had to deal with traitors and sympathisers from our own people. As an officer, I would have been responsible for executing traitors and deserters which would not have been nice, or that nice depending on how one looks at it. The whole country would have definitely come to a standstill, possibly for decades, the losses would have been devastating on both sides, and we would not have gotten to enjoy the 1995 World Cup victory, the wonderful 1990's or any day as we know it since then. Every single day from then until now would have been different. Some of my children would not have been born and I would have most certainly lost many loved family members, friends and brother comrades-in-arms, if not my own life. My best friend through my service lives down the road from me and I see him at least a couple of times a week. For that I am blessed. I am not saying that we could not have won, I am just asking if it would have been worth it. Come to think about it. I am glad that peace prevailed, in whatever iteration of peace that we call this. It hurts real bad to think that we laid down our arms and handed over governance of our beloved South Africa to an organised crime syndicate masquerading as a political party. Ultimately true intentions are judged by results and there is nobody alive that can not see plain as day, that the intention of the ANC all along was just to loot the country for themselves without a care in the world for anybody else. They took it all and threw everybody else the scraps. A tear runs down my face when I think of what we could have become and how those wonderful late 90's could have gone on forever. How do we fix this?

The energy and strength I gained from being with him are still within me, and because of that, I’ve become someone who can keep moving forward even without him now. Of course, even if Mark hyung hadn’t been there from the beginning, I probably still would have made it this far. But walking this path alone… I don’t think it would have been an easy road. Still, having him there was such a great comfort, a source of strength, and a pillar of support for me. All of that has built up and become the strength that allows me to keep going now. That’s something I really wanted to share with everyone—so you don’t have to worry too much. Mark hyung wasn’t my only support. I have the other members, and I have all of you, Czennies, who support me.

I am in Turks and Caicos Islands, where I am meeting with a contingent from the Jamaica Constabulary Force. These officers have been instrumental in helping to reduce crime here in the islands. Our officers are exceptionally well trained, and their presence here is a testament to that training. The Government of the islands is pleased with the work these officers have been doing under the leadership of Commissioner Fitz Bailey. I had the pleasure of inspecting our officers and speaking with them about the important work they have been carrying out here.

And we are trying to implement all that we can, make use of the technology not only in governance, but in everything that we come across, be it health, be it education, be it livestock, be it agriculture. Only this morning I had a meeting with Huawei, and I had meetings with Alibaba. And I am very eager to learn from their AI medical interventions. I can't believe I'm sharing this, but here is 13 year old Tom, vlogging on his youtube channel from his bedroom. This a video from a channel long since shut down, from the year of our lord 2010. None of it is my proudest work - but I got better as I got older. I learned skills and made friends, some of whom I still know to this day. Making these silly videos over time taught me so much about video editing, talking to cameras, and being effective on social media. I failed a lot before I got better. But I had the chance to try. I developed skills that have helped me enormously in adult life. Had I not been able to make silly videos on youtube - and get motivated/excited about thousands of people watching them - my subsequent life would have certainly looked very different. Some might argue that would have been for the better, but it would have certainly been for the more boring.

After the Friday prayers were done, and meeting a number of attendees, Muslims and people of other faiths, we headed to the car. When I had gotten to the car, I had just gotten a text from several brothers who said that the other protesters had asked if I would share some words with them as well. So we turned around and headed back to the quad, fortunately this time not being accosted by any clergy or other counter protesters. The sister of one of the sisters who read the Tahāwiyyah with me in Turkey several years ago, took the mic and introduced me, and I shared my thoughts not only with the protesters, but also with the counter protesters. We all agreed that the blood of children should not be spilled, but some of us are maybe woefully misinformed. I reiterated, that we should all be ready to take people by the hand and sit and discuss these things with love with them, in the hopes that we all can learn something that we didn't know from before. I also reiterated, that some people know better and still choose the path of evil despite knowing it, and we also need to be strong in the face of weathering such treachery, hypocrisy, and devilish situations when we know our cause is just. Rahul Gandhi might have frustration with PM in his mind but such indecent remarks are unacceptable, especially when PM Modi has been a Prime Minister who has brought prestige to India nationally and internationally, and paved the way for Viksit Bharat. In 12 years, working with full dedication, he did not take any leave. Such indecent remarks against such a PM pain every Indian. I would also like to humbly tell the Congress party that after such language and conduct, can they have any claim over the legacy of Lal-Bal-Pal and Gandhi, Patel and Nehru, from Subhas babu to Rajendra babu and Shastri ji and Narasimha Rao ji to Pranab Mukherjee? With this conduct, Rahul Gandhi has not only insulted PM Narendra Modi but also the international prestige of India. He has shredded the dignity of the post of Lok Sabha LoP. I cannot even imagine that someone with Gandhi surname can make such a shameful remark."

Because we are tired of people outside of this state telling us that the south is backwards, that it's hopeless and it's destined to be ruled by the same powerful people again and again. I believe that could have turned out into a nuclear disaster, and I want to thank the leaders of India and Pakistan, and I want to thank my people. Also, we talk trade, and we say we can't trade with people who are shooting at each other and potentially using nuclear weapons.
