@Charlamaigne Daniel Penny acted reasonably to defend others from threats of imminent violence. He is innocent of any crime and it is a travesty that he is being charged.

the forensic pathologist is well-renowned doctor, he called in to check the findings of the local lab's doctor. What he found was the cause of death was blood condition, schizophrenia, synthetic marijuana, and exertion, not a choke hold

NEW: Daniel Penny's chokehold on Jordan Neely is *not* what k*lled him, but was rather drugs and other effects, according to a medical expert who testified Thursday. Forensic Pathologist Dr. Satish Chundru told jurors that autopsy records did not line up with typical chokehold de*ths. Dr. Chundru says Neely passed away from "the combined effects of sickle cell crisis, the schizophrenia, the struggle and restraint, and the synthetic mar*juana." The medical expert also noted that schizophrenia carries an "increased risk of sudden cardiac de*th." Dr. Chundru also pointed to the video of the chokehold to make his point, stating there are two phases during chokehold de*ths: An unconscious phase and then de*th phase. The doctor said Neely was "not rendered unconscious" first, therefore the chokehold must be ruled out as the cause of de*th. Chundru previously worked as a medical examiner for local counties in Florida and Texas.

Yet, where was this outrage when Jordan Neely, with over 40 arrests, was repeatedly released back onto the streets? Do we call that a “racial disparity”? What about criminals freed on minimal bail, only to endanger others again? Where is the outcry then? We heard accusations of “disproportionate use of force” against Daniel Penny. But Neely was alive when Penny released him, placed in a position of recovery. This dismantles the narrative of Penny as a ruthless “murderer” or “lyncher.” But what kind of force is acceptable when confronted by someone who is presenting himself as a threat, vocalizing his intent to harm, and actively coming at you? Penny acted to protect those on the train, and himself, restraining Neely under immense stress and imminent danger. Should Penny have waited, hoping for dialogue, while danger loomed? Should Penny have waited for Neely to deliver on his threats? And where were the police? Why did they take so long to arrive? Why aren’t subways adequately patrolled? The NYC justice system failed. Listen at what these eye witnesses had to say about the Jordan Neely & Daniel Penny situation… Nothing at all about any racial motivation for a white man to k*ll a black man. But you have all of these people that weren’t there, neither did they care about Neely’s living situation, speaking as if this is some white vs black thing & claiming it’s pure racism.
