It's not if, it's when you will get breached. The security stacks for network security we have to run now is complex and expensive. Most smaller companies can not afford the enhanced protection.

The reason China went after small town utility is kind of obvious. Because they very logically assume it’s much easier than going after much better protected and monitored larger facility. Once they’re in, they can gain very valuable insights to attack larger facility next.

Why does it have to be controlled remotely or be online at all. All these plants should be offline. No Internet in the facility at all.
