Before yesterday, I attended one of the most ridiculous ICOM hearings I’ve seen so far. Summary: 2023: MDP finalized the “Dhaaimee List” for Fahi flats. 2024: PNC gov started reviewing it, some on 2023 list disqualified, some newly added, without ever publishing the updated list. I asked the ministry for a copy of the permanent list with the changes. The ministry refused to share the list and replied that the permanent list (Dhaaimee List) is still the 2023 list. So they admit they are changing 2023 list, yet insist the 2023 list is PERMANENT. They admit they have a list which they send to HDC for draw process, admit some people have already got flats and yet no list to show to public. What an exchange. Note: I don’t blame the officers from ministry who are forced to justify the unjustifiable because gov don’t want to share the list.

My thoughts on Gheghe and his sister>> I honestly don’t understand why he wouldn’t help his own blood sister. Some people may call her entitled but I don’t see it that way, there’s nothing wrong with a sibling asking for help when they need it. telling her to go and ask her boyfriend instead doesn’t sit right with me. They even look like twins🥹🥰 If you have the means, I feel like family should come first before outside support. It sometimes looks like people are quicker to help others for validation than their own blood. Gheghe should practice what he preaches and do better🥰

I’m going to bet all I own Ajax Liberal MP McKelvie didn’t stop by & ask the residents of this ballooning tent city what they needed to see in her government’s budget. Spoiler: there was ZERO. They don’t have a lot in common, mind you. They live in tents - she doesn’t. They also live in Ajax - she doesn’t. I want to be a person (elected or not) in my hometown who doesn’t just talk about problems but actually tackles them head-on. Right now, we have a growing homeless encampment that began with 5-6 tents and has now grown to around 25-30. It’s getting cold, and there’s NO plan - no federal policy or strategy to help. No leadership, & no honest conversation about what can or should be done is predictable & abhorrent. These are people who need to be lifted up, not ignored. Some need opportunity, some need guidance, some need addiction treatment - but all of them need a voice that carries influence & compassion. There is no stigma to needing help. The stigma should be on those who pretend these people & their circumstances don’t exist. I’m making calls - I will keep you posted.

It is critical to keep hope alive. Prisoner swaps have been on hold for a long time, but negotiations have not ceased for a single moment. BREAKING: Claude Opus 5 is OUT NOW! And…it’s a hard model to love. We’ve spent the last week Every 🧱 testing it across coding, writing, knowledge work, and our internal agent. It argued with instructions, stopped before the work was finished, and generally didn’t play well with our existing skills and plugins like Compound Engineering. Our first reaction was: What have they done to my boy? Then we deleted our existing skills and started from scratch. Without the elaborate workflows we had built for earlier models, Opus 5 got dramatically better, and even showed flashes of brilliance. Here’s our Day 0 vibe check: - It’s a poor man’s Fable. It has many of Fable’s personality quirks without Fable’s genius. - It breaks backward compatibility. If you’re using it with existing skills and workflows, watch out. It will often stop early or otherwise miss your instructions. - If you start from scratch, you’ll have better results. Kieran Klaassen figured out that if he just started from scratch without his existing skills, he could get dramatically better results. This is a model that takes some time to rebuild your workflows around—but if you do, there’s a payoff waiting. - Medium or low effort works better. @KieranKlassenn also found better results using Opus 5 on lower thinking levels. It seems that the more time you give it to think, the more likely it is to do the more annoying behaviors. Don’t just switch to Sonnet for a faster response! Try low thinking. I have two slots in my workflow: 1. The genius model I use for my biggest hardest tasks, currently Fable. 2. The smart, fast generalist I use for everything else, currently GPT-5.6. Opus 5 has the personality of the genius, but doesn’t have its top end. So that puts it in a strange middle ground that doesn’t really have a home in my day to day.
