For those that had the privilege to see the greatness of linebacker Derrick Thomas in person, they will remember the significance of what happened 37 years ago when the Alabama Football legend ensured the Crimson Tide would not lose in an 8-3 victory over Penn State on Oct. 22, 1988, inside Legion Field. Thomas terrorized Penn State’s Tony Sacca all afternoon and finished with three sacks, nine quarterback hurries, eight tackles and almost outscored the Nittany Lions by himself with a fourth-quarter safety. Led by the heroic performance, the Crimson Tide defense allowed just 21 yards in the second half. In the 1988 season, Thomas won the Butkas Award as the nation’s top linebacker and finished with a staggering 27 sacks. To put that in perspective, Alabama as a team had 25 sacks last season with one extra game. “We made some changes at halftime to free Derrick Thomas,” Alabama head coach Bill Curry said. “Once Derrick Thomas is flying around, all kinds of things happen. They start looking for him. It’s a real nightmare when there’s a player like that on the other team.” CBS televised the defensive slugfest and announcer Brent Musburger described Thomas’s afternoon as, “the most dominating performance I’ve ever seen by a college player.” Philip Doyle scored the only offensive points for Alabama with a 39-yard field goal in the second quarter, before giving the Crimson Tide a 6-3 lead with a 35-yard field goal in the third quarter. Thomas added his safety early in the fourth quarter and a late quarterback hurry ended Penn State’s final offensive series when Lee Ozmint intercepted Sacca. Penn State finished with just 169 yards of total offense (98 passing, 71 rushing) and eight first downs.

Draymond Green on him and Devin Booker getting ejected: “So, obviously Devin Booker and I got ejected. Devin Booker told Scott Foster that I punched him in the stomach, which is a lie. Number one, a punch is with a close fist. Number two, it’s very obvious I was taking a foul. So, Scott Foster goes to review it, realizes I didn’t punch him in the stomach, and he call an away from the play foul. Guy’s passing the ball. So I’m not sure how it’s away from the play, but I think that’s Scott Foster’s way of well, there’s not really much here for me to call a flagrant foul or a technical foul, but I feel I need to do something. And so he calls it away from the play foul, which to me made absolutely no sense. However, I was standing on the sideline and Book was shooting a free throw and I was saying, “Yo, Book, I punched you.” And I just kept saying, “So, I punched you, you know, and he didn’t want to answer.” And so I kept asking him and then finally he was like, “Uh, man, I said I moved on, Dray. I ain’t know. I said I moved on.” And I asked again, so I punched you, you know, he got a little testy and started making some comments. So, I made some comments back to him, but make no mistake about it, man. Book, that’s my young fella. Always have been. That relationship stems back to Book being in high school. And ain’t nothing going to change that relationship. We had that moment. What really pissed me off was we got ejected. We weren’t cursing at each other or anything. We were talking back and forth. And as you can see by AD prank show, I don’t do well with like shut up techs, you know, like I’m going to give you a tech. So you guys have to stop talking. That sh*t don’t work for me.” (Via The Draymond Green Show)

Listen closely to this entire clip. Israel, Lyndon Johnson and the CIA attempted to implement a false flag operation by setting up and killing American citizens manning the USS Liberty in order to bring the US into a war with Egypt. The only problem was, they failed to kill everyone or else we wouldn't even know about it. How many wars have been started off of false flag operations that we don't even know about? Not only this, but Lyndon Johnson had a hand in killing John F. Kennedy, a duly elected President of the United States. Absolutely everyone should understand how sick and twisted these people truly are. Understand their playbooks so you can see through them. "False flags are very useful. They work. USS Liberty. A famous false flag. You want to get us in a war against Egypt? Well then Israel and the CIA collaborate and bomb and kill American sailors on the USS Liberty. Too bad you didn't kill all of them because a lot of them lived, and they told the world what the hell happened when they tried to use American sailors as a false flag to get us into a war against Egypt, didn't work. Even though Lyndon Johnson and the CIA tried their damnedest to work with Israel to do it... He was an evil an evil son of a bitch...He knew. He wouldn't allow them to be rescued, by the way. Not only knew about it, but wouldn't allow them to be rescued. They hoped that every American died in the waters that day but they didn't... The CIA collaborated with the Israeli government. And maneuvered a US ship to this position to be killed...The mission was for it to be totally destroyed. So you don't have people coming on my show…telling you what they saw that day..." The woman, Safna, had reportedly befriended the 30 year old victim, with hearing and speech impairment, through Instagram. Over time, she built a rapport with him through chats and they planned to meet. The man suggested meeting at a beach but the woman invited him to a hotel near the South Bridge in Panampilly Nagar on February 22. When the victim arrived at the hotel around 6.30 pm, the other gang members were already lying in wait. Some of them hid in the bathroom, and others arrived shortly after from outside. “The gang's primary goal was to film the man in compromising positions with Safna to use the footage for blackmail. When the man valiantly resisted their demands to strip and engage in sexual acts, the encounter turned violent. According to the FIR, when the man refused to obey, the gang forcefully stripped him, repeatedly punched the victim in the face and kicked him in the back. One assailant used a heavy torch to strike his palm and tried to hit his head. Fortunately, he blocked the strike on the head with his hand, resulting in injuries. “The accused gained access to the victim's Google Pay account in an attempt to drain his funds; however, they found the account lacked a significant balance. Despite his resistance, the gang forcibly took nude photographs of the man before he was able to escape. We have seized the phones, but the images have been deleted. We are trying to recover them,” said police. The victim, who is currently being treated for spinal injuries, reported the matter on February 24. Due to his speech and hearing impairment, the police sought the help of a sign language expert to record his detailed statement. The accused are Safna of North Paravur, John Rahul of Vytilla, Amal of Irumpanam and Anand of Maradu. #formenidia

In 2014, TCU and Baylor played one of the craziest games of the CFP era and one of the greatest games in College Football history. The Top 10 showdown in Waco, TX between the Horned Frogs and the Bears saw 119 combined points, 14 combined touchdowns including a pick six and a 94-yard kickoff return, 1,267 total yards, and a 21-point 4th quarter comeback. Baylor trailed by double digits on multiple different occasions, including by scores of 14-0, 21-10, 44-30, and even 58-37. The Bears trailed by 21 points with 10:40 left in the game before rattling off 24 unanswered to win on a walk-off field goal as time expired. The game had massive ramifications for both teams of course, but also for CFB as a whole. TCU’s loss ultimately kept them from making the CFP that season, allowing Ohio State to sneak in as the 4-seed and eventually win the national title. Had TCU won this game (or if the Big 12 decided to hold a conference championship), CFB might look significantly different today in terms of where the TCU/Baylor programs are, how the Big 12 is perceived, and may have even prevented some conference realignment decisions if OSU/the Big Ten didn’t win the title in 2014, and it instead went to Alabama/Oregon and the PAC-12/TCU and the Big 12. If TCU got into the CFP in 2014 instead of OSU, the B1G would’ve had a 21-year natty drought from OSU’s in 2002 to Michigan’s in 2023. This game was not only an entertaining back-and-forth shootout, but also had one of the most influential outcomes in recent CFB history.

REALLY special opening statement by P.J. Fleck (worth the ENTIRE listen): - Wore this blue wristband, our community has been through a lot, that’s why Heather and I love it here so much…today was a special win, we had Fletcher’s 3 buddies, and his brother join us yesterday from the Annunciation shooting. Fletcher (Merkel) was one of the young people that lost his life. Their Dads came and spent a lot of time with us yesterday. - One of Fletcher’s greatest memories was the USC game last year, which was talked about his funeral. - It’s the most unthinkable, tragic, catastrophic feeling you probably could ever have, losing your child. - Mike Wierzbicki did a tremendous job of hosting them, and bringing them into our family - They all got a game ball, kids are really resilient, but we don’t know how that will really impact young people - This is what Row The Boat is all about. Can’t bring Fletcher back, can’t make it easier, but I hope that for 45 minutes in my office, for pre-game, to that locker room, they could smile, and I thought they did. - This goes way bigger than football, everybody. I get paid to win, but I understand my role as a head football coach, I understand the obligation I have, the job I have to do and who I represent. - People can say Row The Boat is corny, it’s 13 years everybody, move on, find a new word, almost 100 wins…corny? It’s never give up. It’s what we just talked about with Team Fletcher, if you’re going to call that corny, you have issues and problems. - What our team showed tonight was resolve and the resiliency of what RTB is all about. I’m so darn proud of them. I don’t know if I’ve been a part of a win like that, that meant so much, and you didn’t even know it. - Coming off of a loss like that, they found a way to win. - #1 reason I love being a football coach is changing lives.

Every season, it seems like we have to say goodbye to a big name. This year… well it looks to be at least 3 big losses - John Stones, Nathan Benjamin Aké and Bernardo Mota Veiga de Carvalho e Silva. Wow, what an insane amount this trio has done for the club. All starters in the treble season and they’ve won the lot. Let’s start with Nathan Ake, he came from Bournemouth in 2020 for a fee of £40.4m - I mean at the time that seemed a lot for a back up centre back. He was steady, he was comfortable with the ball, solid at the back, some top blocks and some great last ditch tackles. But in 22/23 he was played at left back… and what on earth did he become? An absolute monster. ELITE 1v1 against any right winger. Unbelievable positioning and reading of the game. Even at times, getting forwards and he chipped in with some important goals. The best left back in the league that season. Whenever called upon, between his injury-stricken City career, he’s been fantastic. Most recently in the Cup final against Arsenal where many thought he’d be a weak link… he was absolutely absurd. Wherever he goes… we wish him the best of luck. John Stones, well… if injury hadn’t been the main factor in his career, he’d not only have a statue alongside Vincent Kompany, he’d have one outside Wembley. The general, the most tactical defender the game has ever seen. Whilst over his decade at City, he’s grown as a player and ironed out mistakes and just become an absolute Rolls Royce of a footballer, we can only speak about the treble season. The ONE season Johnny Stones managed to stay fit we won it all. Moving into the midfield and just bossing the park in every metric. Same number of dribbles completed in a Champions League final as Lionel fricking Messi? Unreal. General John Stones, definitely a fan favourite and we will be GUTTED to see him go. Thanks for everything Johnny. Finally Bernardo, Pep’s little favourite, the one everyone picks on, now finally the senior figure, the captain, the DREAM for a Pep team… he’s the epitome of a utility player being able to do absolutely everything on a pitch with endless running and an undeterred passion for the club. He is a true City legend. A decade at the Blues, also a decade of thinking he’s leaving in the coming summer. Well this year it’s finally confirmed… Bernie will leave the Blues being the face, alongside Kevin De Bruyne, of Manchester City under Pep Guardiola. The way his game has evolved is unbelievable. Once the tricky little attacker we signed from Monaco ten years ago, now dropping between the centre backs and a tenacious little midfielder tirelessly fighting for the team all over the pitch. His availability sees him become the only player in the modern era to be in City’s top 10 for appearances made for the club. He had everything on the pitch, and for City he was a fantastic little shithouse. But off the pitch he’s always had our hearts. Serious and passionate yet funny and joyful… Bernardo, it hurts to see you go. Thank you for everything. Seeing all these players leave us will be a pain in the hearts of all Blues, three fantastic servants to the club. Always welcome back to the Etihad, back home, back to the club where they won it all, we will welcome them back with loving arms. Bernardo Silva Nathan Aké Christine Murumba Once a Blue, always a Blue 💙
