The Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, Chukwuma Charles SOLUDO, CFR, sometimes acts as though he took over directly from Peter Obi. But in reality, he took over from Willie Obiano. Willie Obiano So, technically, there was Willie Obiano between Peter Obi and Chukwuma Soludo. Whatever Peter Obi left behind when he left office was inherited by Willie Obiano, who was the immediate predecessor. That’s why I’m still trying to understand something: why does Soludo keep skipping Willie Obiano and going straight for Peter Obi every time? Honestly, I’m still trying to understand the logic behind it. 🤔

Obi said he left over ₦75 billion in total value..... Willie Obiano his successor said Peter Obi did not leave Anambra "debt-free" as he claimed. Obiano said he inherited ₦185 billion gbese from Peter Obi, that's apart from the ₦1.5 billion Court ordered Obiano to pay pensioners just 4 months after he took over from Obi that refused to pay them... There is so much evidence of the things Peter Obi Peter Obi did as Governor of Anambra State over 13 years ago, and many of those projects are still evident in the state today, particularly in education, healthcare, road construction, and other areas. Let’s not forget that there was a governor in between Peter Obi and Chukwuma Soludo Chukwuma Charles SOLUDO, CFR —Willie Obiano. So Soludo did not take over directly from Peter Obi. My question is simple: why can’t Soludo maintain and preserve some of the infrastructure he inherited? Look at the schools and other projects—what about maintenance and continuity? Instead of building on what is already on the ground and ensuring that the state continues to develop, Soludo seems to spend a significant amount of his time responding to or attacking Peter Obi, a man he did not even take over from. Anyway, this is simply to remind Nigerians that many of the things Peter Obi did as Governor of Anambra State are still visible and relevant today. The real question is how successive administrations preserve, maintain, and build upon what they inherit.

Anambra people are out for Soludo. They are now showing grassroot developments done for them by Peter Obi over 12 years ago. Now you can understand why Peter Obi gets almost 100% of Anambra state votes. Now you can see why even after leaving office for over 12 years, Peter Obi is still being celebrated by Anambra people. He still works on the streets of Anambra state very freely. The most annoying part is that all the places shown so far are all left as at the time Peter Obi left office. Both Obiano and Solution left them without improvement or at least maintaining them. Even the solar power has been removed. Chai! When Peter Obi said he will build an affordable and functional health centres in every ward in Nigeria, some people were doubting him but see what he did in Anambra state. This was Peter Obi in 2017 campaigning for Oseloka Obaze in Ihiala, Anambra state. During this campaign, Peter Obi said some things that are very remarkable. 1. He recognised the works that Chris Ngige, the governor before him did. Obi never dismissed Ngige instead he recognised his achievements before mentioning the ones he (Peter) did. 2. Peter Obi was not campaigning based on promises, instead as a former governor, he was campaigning based on what he did for them. He took time to mention the roads, schools, hospitals etc which he built or renovated for them. This is exactly, how to campaign for a second term or as a former governor or president. You don't campaign on promises but on your performance. Tinubu and APC, take note. 3. One striking thing here is that Peter Obi was at Ihiala while telling them what he did for them. It's a different thing that someone is on television saying that he did this or that but Obi was at the place in front of the indigens of Ihiala pointing at each of the projects while the people cheered in agreement. That speaks of a man who was sure of what he was saying. That speaks of a man who was sure of what he did. 4. Another important thing to note here is that Peter Obi did all of these things without borrowing and he also left a huge amount of money. Some people think that Obi just left money without working.
