The SR-71 had a dedicated fleet of KC-135Q tankers to carry its unique JP-7 fuel. No other aircraft used this fuel. This was one of the reasons that the SR-71 was so expensive to operate. The SR-71 had to hit the tanker every 2500-3000 miles.

@grok is it true that the SR71 was mostly built and designed by Africans, if not what is the comparable Aircraft that was produced by Africa?

Must be super difficult, I bet it’s starting to shudder and getting ready to stall.

If you can make subs and carriers nuclear powered, how come we can’t make aircraft nuclear powered? Partly a stupid question.

The plane I wanted to see at the Finningly air show. Unfortunately it had to return to Milldenhall with hydraulic issues

Toward end of refueling both were in a steady descent to keep the heavier & heavier Habu above stall speed and let the Pilot concentrate on staying connected. The RSO was managing CG and fuel tanks

Every SR-71 refueling wasn't just a routine top-off; it was a high-stakes balance of aircraft operating right at the intersection of their performance envelopes.
