It's still hard to believe that a game as incredible as Mass Effect came out only 4 years after Knights of the Old Republic. The jump in graphics, gameplay, characterization and storytelling was next level. Playing it felt like watching a movie when I was a kid. Blew my mind!

Finally got around to watching The Lost Tapes and I gotta say, this scene felt like it was made for all the gen z kids who grew up watching the show. Like I genuinely couldn’t think of a better way to bring it back.

I can’t believe I’m still alive. Today, after much hesitation, I went to check on the house we fled from four months ago. I just wanted to see if it was still standing, or if it had become like the other destroyed homes. I left after hearing news of the army’s withdrawal from the area. I clung to a fragile hope — maybe naive, but stronger than my fear. When I reached the outskirts of the neighborhood, an eerie silence hung in the air, as if the place itself was hiding from danger. There was heavy gunfire, and I had to take cover. Warplanes suddenly appeared, flying low — their sound alone was enough to paralyze me. The air froze in my chest. I couldn’t even look at the house… I didn’t know if I was near it or not. Everything collapsed in a moment, and I was part of that collapse. I ran — I don’t know how I found my way, or how I wasn’t hit by a bullet. All I wanted was to see if anything from our life remained… a photo, a door, a wall… but even that simple dream was too much to ask.

Diary Entry #625 Today I made a most remarkable discovery. There, within the deep, something stood, beautiful and vibrant in color, proud and tall as if it belonged to the world itself. I approached, though it immediately revealed a stubbornness, almost tantrum-like, as if offended that I had dared to reach out. It moved quickly, and I shied away, sensing that something truly majestic stood before me. For a fleeting moment, I did manage to touch it. Its surface was slimy, yet soft and delicate, far more fragile in feeling than its presence suggested. The being stirred at my curiosity, as though annoyed by my wonder, and then, just as suddenly as it had appeared, it was gone. In my research, I have learned that some of these beings are said to be like me, existing far beyond what we understand as life and time. This was a surreal experience. I must learn more before I expose this knowledge to anyone else.

There’s been times when I’m walking or hiking in the woods and I hear knocking coming a building, it gives me an eerie vibe like a trapped in the woods kind of feeling. I know I post about this stuff a bit but it truly fascinates me. Like how this man is hearing knocking on the ground in the woods like something underneath him is knocking but it’s solid ground right? The only logical explanation I can think of is it’s reverb from construction or possibly pipes on the ground being worked on. I was at the state park getting a jog in, the surrounding area was flat, I could see far on either side of me. The fields were clear of trees like a new developmental lot. I didn’t have my headphones on, I decided just to go for a jog without them. During the jog it was quiet, except for the sounds of the wildlife, I could tell they were there, it didn’t bother me. However as I progressed I started hearing a screeching noise, it didn’t sound like any animal to me, almost like old metal on metal brakes of a car ready to fail is how I would describe it. I wasn’t worried because as I said before, the area I was at was clear, it wasn’t as if anybody could be hiding along my path, it was just empty, but what made it weird is I couldn’t pinpoint where the noise was and it sounded close yet I couldn’t see anything that could be the source. Just a dirt path and grass. There were trees along the horizon but they were far, too far for that noise to be so close. For the rest of the job I kept my eyes open but to this day I still couldn’t explain what that noise was.
