Taylor Sheridan Revealed the Insult That Made Him Quit Acting and Start Writing His Own Stories Howard Stern asked Taylor Sheridan about the worst beating he ever took in Hollywood and whether someone had ever said something completely out of line to him. Taylor Sheridan revealed that after Season 2 of Sons of Anarchy, he was still earning the minimum pay and had to work a second job just to cover his rent. He asked for a raise to $20,000 per episode, the same amount several other cast members were making. Howard Stern pointed out that many people wrongly assume actors on successful TV shows automatically become millionaires. Taylor Sheridan said the studio only offered him $15,000 for 10 episodes. When his lawyer argued that children on YouTube cooking channels were earning more, a studio executive responded that Taylor was easily replaceable. That moment convinced him to quit acting and focus on writing his own stories instead. Instead of accepting it, he left acting, started writing, and eventually built one of Hollywood's most successful careers as a creator and writer.

While filming this crucial scene in "No Way Out" (1987), Kevin Costner had disagreement with the director on staging of the scene & how Gene Hackman's character reacts to Costner's character. Costner was pissed when things didn't go as he had hoped. When the director asked what Gene Hackman should do, Costner replied, "Gene can do whatever he wants, it's up to Gene what he wants to do." After the shoot for the day ended, Gene Hackman met Costner in the parking lot & asked if he could talk to him. Costner feared that Hackman was going to say, "if you ever do that to another f**ing director in front of me again, I'll ki!! you." Instead Hackman said, "I watched you today and I have been through a divorce and for three years, I've been doing a lot of shitty movies and I've been trying to pay for this divorce. I kind of didn't feel about acting the way I felt for a long time. I watched you today & [I remembered] I used to feel like that. I was really happy to see you do that." He then drove off. Gene Hackman Update On 2/12, Betsy, Gene Hackman's wife, contacted a medical facility. Initially, the ME reported the estimated date of death for Betsy 2/11. Clearly, she died of Hantavirus after the 2/12 phone call. **Critial note - When there is a partially mumified, deceased body, all an ME can do is give an estimated date of death. Likely, Betsy died either later on 2/12 or on 2/13. MEs due their best, but it is hard to pinpoint. Gene Hackman's death was easier to pinpoint because of his pacemaker data. Nevertheless, such a tragedy. With $80 million, I wish they would have hired staff, but they were private and likely enjoyed their independence. It is also sad that Gene Hackman's children weren't closer to him. Standing by to see what happens with Grne Hackman's inheritance that he earned as a prolific Actor. Gene Hackman was not close to his father, because his father left him. It seems his wife Betsy was his true love and soul mate. #GeneHackman

Denzel Washington’s epic monologue towards the end of Training Day was largely improvised on set. Director Antoine Fuqua was so blown away by his performance, he says he thinks he "forgot to yell cut”. He explains… “That’s Denzel. He was just in his zone. I mean, that was one of those moment...people talk about AI. Those are the moments where you go...it's a great tool. It's gonna be a great tool, I think...but the emotion, and the moment that an actor can bring - you can't predict that. That's something that's just inside of Denzel. And when that came out, I was just like - I hope I got it. I just turned to my operator - who was shaking- I looked over at the guy - I was like, “please tell me you got that.” Because that was the take. That was it. There was no other take - I mean, how do you tell an actor like that, that that wasn't good enough? …He walked over to me, and he just had this look in his eyes. I was like, “you good?” He said, “you good?” I said, “Yeah…” Some of that was in the script, but he flipped it the way he did it. "Putting cases on all you." He kind of added some things in there. And then he just went into a whole other zone with the whole King Kong thing- with Pelican Bay - Denzel started that. That was Denzel. That was him, man. He just kind of lit up, and I think I forgot to yell cut. I was just watching it, because everybody started walking away, and I'm just watching him, and then he lights a cigarette - and he's talking - and I'm just watching him. I think at some point he probably looked at me like, you going to cut? And I'm like, “oh yeah, yeah, cut.” He was still in it. That's the thing with Denzel. He was so Alonso…I'm just watching him for a while because I didn't know what else he was going to do. It was just so magical. And then I think he looked up at me and I was like, “Okay, cut, cut.”
