The United Nations has really been lost to partisanship. I would have to argue that it's no longer a fully functional diplomatic institution. Mostly, what people use the UN for is spouting existential justifications for their aggressive behavior while trying to create authoritative legal framework to pursue lawfare against their fellow States. It's become something of a weapon, when in actuality it SHOULD be the middle ground that allows states to settle their differences on equal footing. Well, the biggest issue for the UN is that it wasn't able to stay objective. It started disproportionately grouping up on one side of an issue instead of being the mediator between emergent issues. I might thus have to argue that they've really lost their "diplomatic spirit."

While dictatorships, terrorists and serial human-rights abusers escape sustained attention, the world’s only Jewish state is condemned relentlessly. That is not justice. It is bias.
