The 1950โ€™s Australia had the WAP. A country that put its people first. That policy was stripped away by Gough Whitlam and his pro multicultural, pro refugee immigrant Walter Lippmann who headed Ethnic Community of Victoria. These blow-ins had zero loyalty to Australia and saw it for the taking, and he did. Opened the immigration floodgates. Pulled on our heartstrings and said it was human rights. Now itโ€™s Modern Australia โ„ข๏ธ and diversity is our strengthโ€™ bullshit mantra

I think the question needs to be asked, weโ€™ve been going at this โ€œnewโ€ Australia for a few decades now and has it actually worked out to be a better version? What problem were we trying to solve that has apparently been solved. We tried it, it didnโ€™t work, time to admit it.

Wealth extraction is exactly it. The wealthy need to step aside and let us get back to our standard way of living for communities.

Letโ€™s face it, the globalist leaders led this โ€œcreeping communismโ€ by slowly hollowing out countries and making everyone reliant on the EVIL dELITES. Howโ€™s that multiculturalism working out for usโ‰๏ธ ITS NOT.

Except we never owned the refineries, that's why they're gone. They were owned by multi-nationals. These arguments are great if you completely disassociate yourself from the facts. Conservatives are truly the dumbest cvnts around.

@whatwakeup Financialisation of Australia began in the mid eighties, and has hollowed out everything to benefit globalist corporate interests- the average worker in this country is treated as a slave to be milked.

Australia is weaker - sadly all this is to-plan from Socialist Government bureaucrats - when the supply is weakened or threatened then we are more reliant on the State. Food, Fuel - they can control us.The Lima Agreement started all this with manufacturing outsourcing to abroad.

Indeed! Australia is perfectly suited to be self-sufficient in energy. How? Solar/wind + battery storage Clean, green, and most of all, cheap. The future is renewables. Period.

Totally agree, big step forward, BAN anyone from any political party or view, from holding office, who do not have at least 10 years experience in commercial business. So-called, professional politicians are not worth dog-shit when it comes to life's business realities.

"Government believed in the people of Australia and backed them... " And this folks is the problem right there. "Government believed in the people"? FFS. The government is meant to be SERVING the people. The reason Australia is fked is because the masses don't get this basic concept. This has allowed the political class to seize power. When are Australians taking it back?

Albo has no idea. Thats what happens when a party wins with only 30% of the vote. He works for the UN/WEF not Australia Why wouldnโ€™t we be independent. Itโ€™s ridiculous. Instead the little commie dictator has us relying on our foe. Itโ€™s nuts

Indeed, Australia's policies have been messed with using slick promotions that undermine the interests of the people. Australia made a tractor called a Howard, revolutionary for their time and able to last - forever. Unfortunately the company lost to cheaper imports in 1985. Dropping import duty was a crime.

This bloke doesnโ€™t provide any data or examples of how Australia can bring manufacturing back home and what is the cost, particularly to the tax payer who will need to subsidise industry. Same as UK and Europe. We have built wealth and improved living standards off the back of China. The cost of improving national resilience, when set against the trend of de-globalisation, is likely to be a reduction in our living standards due to diversion of budgets to defense (mostly imports) and also supporting industry whose products canโ€™t compete internationally, on price at least. Analysts such as UKโ€™s Gary Stevenson would say it is the low income who will pay for this shift of wealth to those who finance and own industry. He makes the point that as with covid, the govt handouts (tax payers money) recycled and built the profits of big business. Australian entrepreneurs have been free to have a go, but have not succeeded in making cheaper products than the Chinese. Hard times ahead for hard working Aussies, at least LNP arenโ€™t in charge to change from the winning horse to a donkey as they did with Australias largest infrastructure project the NBN.
