Serious question. Wouldn’t a simple experiment of auto hovering a helicopter about 5 feet off the ground from dawn to dusk answer this once and for all? If it lands in the same marked spot it started from, then the earth is not spinning.

Rotate ≠ spinning. A rectangular box ≠ an oblate spheroid.

The earth spins at 0.00069 RPM. That experiment is at least 120 RPM.
