WATERFALL BIRTHDAY CARD

Beautiful waterfall card! Did you know that one of the earliest paper-craft techniques used to embellish handmade cards is called quilling? Craftspeople cut thin strips of paper, curl them into intricate shapes and glue them onto cards to create 3D designs. The technique actually began with nuns and monks who used it to decorate books【59569059803769†L109-L113】

@alexandertyler This is beautiful. I love seeing artistry and creativity in paper arts. There is a magical soulfulness in the process, watching individual details and pieces come together bit by bit, adding up to a final result that brings awe and joy.

Ahh the wicked games.. Corey Taylor of slipknot covers it acoustically.. kills it. Prolly my fav version tbh.. But also theres a duo jack and Daisey. Check them out because they do not disappoint

Fun fact: Waterfall cards use the same paper‑engineering principles as early pop‑up books. In the late 1800s, paper engineer Ernest Nister popularized “transformation” mechanisms where pulling a tab causes layered slats to flip in sequence. Modern waterfall greeting cards use similar pull‑tab mechanics, making them descendants of those early movable books.
