This is on the sealer company. They are supposed to rope off all the driveways and the road after giving everyone on the block a written warning of the work. That person could sue them for damages if all the steps weren't followed.

They didn’t block off the roadway?

I had an Amazon driver do this to my driveway that was caution taped off. Amazon tried to deny it, but they couldn't because the picture they took of the delivered package showed their car in the reflection on the front door. They sent me a check within 10 days.

Oh, you had a feeling someone would drive on it when there's no warning signage anywhere to be seen?

You guys are absolute idiots for not having flaggers on either end and put out door knockers on every single home notify people of the work being done so that that doesn’t happen. I do road work for a living. That’s how it’s done.

Never seen a competent company seal an entire road rather than one lane at a time. And no cones? Incompetence. They should be paying for that driver’s new paint job.

Are people just to be trapped in their house until it drys?

That is going to be astronomically expensive to fix if that is actual new asphalt that got laid down and not just a top coat.

I did this on parking lots when I was in high school, doesn’t matter how many barricades you put up, someone is going to move them and drive through it. Had a cop go through one time.

Who seal coats a road? Some politician must know the owner.

Lol! My grandad used to drive thru seal coats to get an undercoat on his truck.

For anyone blaming the pavement crew about not roping it off I’d say stop thinking evryone in construction is an idiot. Every house received multiple notices and they blocked off the streets. That ass left their driveway directly into the slurry.

What happen to do pieces at a time in a neighbor hood? Since when do we say fuck it and start banging out the whole block at once?

I don't see any signage indicating road work. Seems like the driver may have a lawsuit, but what do I know? 🤷‍♂️

If there wasn't a barricade on the other end of the road, that company is paying for a new paint job. Having spent 15 years on the road crew, I'll tell you, half your job is protecting stupid people from themselves, so you don't get sued. Driver's dumb. Company is lazy and dumb.

Won't ruin anything probably but it's a chore to clean up Did something similar on an airport construction site as a kid, didn't think there was another way to get where I need to be, got a little talk from runway tar guys but they had sense of humor about it

I did slurry seal for six years and man every time you try to barricade the street and you give people proper time and signs that they’re gonna be working on the road on a certain time and day there’s always that percentage of people who just don’t give a shit and ruined it

No sign is needed for common sense of not to drive on the wet roadway. Knowing good and well his phat ass stood and watched them the entire time. Just a douche for no reason. Bet he's a magat.

This is why you close off the entire road. A you post like flyers telling the neighborhood in that area that you are spraying down the road. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😣😣😣👉🏻👷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️

A guy that's never even touched an oil filter thinks this will a car 😂 The tar comes off easy enough. The rest is a pretty solid rust coating for the bottom of your car. Just wtf do you think it ruins, what part?

Diesel in a sprayer will get that off easily.
