The following dashcam footage recently went viral in China. It shows Huawei’s most luxurious vehicle, the Zunjie S800, operating with its ADS 4.0 intelligent driving system engaged, veering out of its lane and striking a sanitation worker, who was injured in the incident. ADS disengaged at the last moment, after which AEB activated, but the remaining stopping distance was too short to prevent the collision. Huawei’s ADS is often promoted as the best intelligent driving system in China. The Zunjie S800 comes standard with ADS 4.0, featuring an extensive sensor suite that includes 4 LiDARs, 5 radars, 12 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. The vehicle’s sticker price goes up to approximately $140k.

In June of 2022, I stood in Love Park with hundreds of other Philadelphians anxiously waiting and hoping for FIFA President, Gianni Infantino to announce Philadelphia as one of the cities selected to host the 2026 World Cup. And when it was finally announced, the excitement for our city was palpable I went home and promised myself that no matter what, I’d be in attendance for one of the matches held in Philadelphia 4 years later Since then I’ve attended and covered countless press conferences, written thousands of words for articles, and delivered as much info as I possibly could about the World Cup and all the planning around it to keep the residents of Philadelphia as informed as possible And now tomorrow, almost exactly 4 years later, I’ll be inside the stadium with media credentials to cover the first game of the 2026 World Cup in Philadelphia for Philly Sports Network and MetroPhilly To say I’m honored and grateful would be an understatement. So excited for the opportunity. What a wild 4 years it’s been⚽️🏆🏟️
