England really missed Trent Arnold crosses in the Argentina game

Watch more:

Same squad selection that’s got England as far in the tournament as they have in the last 60 years.

Complete bollocks. The reason they weren’t picked is they were shit all season. Players are always better when they don’t play. Foden shit all season. Always been shit for England. Palmer shit all season and ZERO PACE it wasn’t the players picked at all.

In my years of watching International football - you have to.pick/select players that can actually play. Leather lunged journey men who run around a lot don't win world cups

Foden and Palmer that have had very poor seasons by their high standards... 😬 Truth is that if Foden or Palmer go, they don't change the result if they're set up as defensive as they were 😅

Tuchel needs to be SACKED right now! Completely unacceptable in game management - worse than an amateur!! Do not listen to Tuchel’s marketing spin - he is a FRAUD!!! Pep, if not give it to Carsley. Tuchel is a disgrace!!! Worse than Graham Taylor!!!

Did he watch Palmer and Foden last season ? They were deservedly left at home, weren't good enough, it wasn't about who he didn't bring, 1-0 up, had more than enough quality on the bench and Tuchel brought 3 defenders on

100% this

What’s the quality Left at Home? 😂 Rooney never even reached the semifinal as a player despite playing in the golden Generation! But Keep on whining like a Little Pussy and Tell us about your Great achievements as a Football Manager. Wanker… 🤡

We’re going round in circles, Eriksson and Southgate were heavily criticised for being too loyal to the star players - everyone wanted a manager that was going to make the tough decisions and drop big names for a defined system

Tuchel sabotage led to the semi final loss, yet insult your entire nation. Why are people still holding back in demanding his sack. Shame!

I agree with Rooney here, Tuchel boxed himself with the team selection, he didn't give himself any different profile to use when needed

Foden and Palmer would have changed nothing, can we please stop doing this

Right idea, wrong players. Foden, Palmer have all been shit this season.

Have to stop wheeling out those names Palmer is so overrated and had a bad season, foden didn't have a good season and didn't play regularly

I don't think Dan Burn was selected over Cole Palmer or Phil Foden...

To be sincere I am begging to think that English football press is the problem with English football. The English press is the reason that no player or Manager wants to be the person to take that risk but lose the game!

Dim, disastrous manager and crap comedian tell Thomas Tuchel where he went wrong. The BBC in 2026.

every single head coach eventually gets grilled for leaving talent behind
Thanks Wayne, noted.

Let’s not beat about the bush. You let your country down in 2006 & captained England to their worst ever defeat in 2016. When it comes to international football you can’t complain

Rooney’s criticism is fair. Some of Tuchel’s choices have raised eyebrows.

@terrychristian I don’t think Tuchel will listen much to this failed manager

He picked the best players to win that World Cup. The bond he created nearly worked. If he took those players maybe they wouldn’t have been so close.

Palmer and Foden are bang average players who would’ve made no difference at all.

First class player second rate and failure as a manager thinks he knows everything

@terrychristian Now let’s look at Rooneys managerial career. We could also look at his punditry. Dare we discuss Birmingham? Not so funny when people turn it back on you eh?

love how he just says what everyone else is thinking behind closed doors

And that’s why he’s such a successful coach.

The moment you or anyone mentions Palmer, you are disqualified from the discussion. Palmer has not had once EPL decent game for Chelsea since December 2024. People who mention Palmer have no idea what they are talking about as they have clearly not watched Chelsea in 18 months.
