In South Carolina before the affordable care act my sons Dr charged me $45 dollars per visit before my insurance kicked in at my job at the time. Once the insurance kicked in they charged my insurance $120. After the ACA that same Dr charged $120 if I did not have insurance and if you did have insurance the insurance company got billed $220. 🤷‍♂️ That drs office gave me the same stupid reason as this guy got.

This is not just in California. People that get food stamps and Medicaid and laugh that they dont have to work, also get discounts. (and they don't pay those bills either).

Health insurance is a scam. I just retired and I am not 65. I’m seeing that everything is cheaper now that I’m paying cash compared to when I had insurance. Criminal!!
