I just finished a PoR run where my Brom ended up purely by level ups with 21 Speed he was unstoppable.

Brom (and Meg) are characters I felt a weird attachment to from their first appearance chapter. I used both of them constantly and brought both to the end game of their respective games (With Brom also in RD.) He felt even better to use in RD than PoR, but I digress.
