WE HAVE LOADED OUR TRUCKS FOR IBADAN... I want to thank you our partners and volunteers for your love and support as we head to Ibadan. Already, our trucks are all loaded and have arrived Ibadan, and packaging is already in progress as we make supply for over 2,000 families here in ibadan. This morning, I was at my church in Winchester, and I’m grateful for the volunteers and organizations working tirelessly to ensure families across Virginia have food on the table and feel cared for this season. I visited a food pantry in the Bronx, which is facing closure due to the lack of funds. While I was there, I met a woman who lines up at the pantry every week, and depends on it to live. I asked her if she knew what was happening in Gaza, and she said the attacks on the children and elderly brought tears to her eyes. Watch my interaction with her:

For some, this might be the last warm meal they have inside a safe place. The last night they are treated with dignity. The last moment they feel seen. No one should have to face that. Yesterday I had the chance to visit the Buffalow Family & Friends Community Center in Chesapeake and help distribute food at their pantry to those in need. Too many Virginia families are struggling to put food on the table because of devastating Republican cuts to SNAP and other food assistance programs making neighborhood food banks like Buffalow that much more important for our community.
