Farioli is one of the most interesting coaches in football because, while everyone is looking to increase mobility to solve the growing man-to-man and pressing orientation across the game, he has doubled down on keeping mobility low. Instead, he focuses on leveraging automatisms and creating superiorities that do not require a lot of mobility or positional rotations. His approach is very different from what we are currently seeing from the dominant coaches in elite football, such as Arteta and Enrique.
